Introduction
Overview
This is a mandatory course for history major students. It will present the history of ancient Greece and Rome in a systematic way. Through the lectures and reading outside the classroom, students are expected to learn the important facts of Greek and Roman history and to learn scholarly research on some of the important issues.

历史学（History），简称史学、历史，是以历史为研究对象的学科。虽然在广义上历史可以包含人类以外的事物，但作为一门社会和人文科学，历史学主要以人类社会为研究对象。
