44The Aerospace Engineering Graduate Program encourages applicants with other related engineering backgrounds to apply to our program. The Graduate Admissions Committee may recommend that an incoming student take selected undergraduate courses before the core courses. The Graduate School requires students to maintain a 3.0 GPA in all courses for credit since enrollment. Minimal score for provisional admission = 84. For full admission with out provision, a score of 100 is required. If your scores do not meet the minimum requirements (click HERE for PDF) you will be required to take a placement test through the Maryland English Institute (MEI). Based on this placement examination, it may be determined that: - The student has satisfactory English language proficiency. - The student needs more English language training, requiring successful completion of the semi-intensive English Language course at MEI. - The student needs to complete a full-time intensive English language program before being admitted to the academic program. - Students who need further English must enroll in the required course during their first semester of study at the University.
